COPPER Queens Coach Bruce Mwape said;
"We have done our home work. We have worked on the mistakes especially the ones we identified during the game against Germany and going forward I'm sure there will be an improvement and as far as I'm concerned the team is ready for the World Cup."
"We are ready for Japan and i'm sure even them they are not sleeping especially after winning Germany. They will make sure that they give us a tough time and even us we want to make sure that we carry the day."
"Motivation is actually coming from different angles. The other night we had a meeting with the Head of State, the Republican President and he addressed the whole team. That was good enough for the players to get motivated because coming from the head of state it is something big and the girls will make sure that they do well so that they don’t disappoint the President."
Meanwhile Chipolopolo gaffer Avram Grant said; "The training was good. The girls made a lot of effort the temple was good, I think they are in a good mood and looking forward for the game."
"I saw a lot of positive things but it is only one game and one training session and I need to watch more. From what I saw good quality, good spirit. They made a lot of effort in the game against Germany. It was a friendly game which I think they learned from and today's training was about team spirit and I think the team is ready."
"From what I know, from what I saw I think Group C is the toughest group because Spain is a fantastic team, Japan have a good team, Costa Rica also but in football you never know. We have the players and the quality in the right places I think the team can win games. It doesn’t matter if it is a tough group."
The Copper Queens will start their World Cup campaign on Saturday morning with a clash against Japan before concluding their group action with fixtures against Spain and Costa Rica
