Kalampa will be back at Nkana Stadium after the Kitwe Derby scheduled for next month

24.10.2023 | Football in my DNA

The Kitwe Derby between Nkana and Power on November 12, 2023, will mark Kalampa's final match at their temporary home field, Woodlands Stadium, as they will then return to Chilata. Here is an official statement from the club;

Let me remind you that our stay in exile, as in squatting at Lusaka’s Woodlands Stadium will soon come an end on November 12, 2023. We shall end our stay in Lusaka with the KITWE DERBY been played on a Sunday, November 12, and thereafter, the Lusaka chapter will close.

It will be interesting, KITWE DERBY Pa Lusaka. Ba Lusaka, if you have never experienced Zambia’s BIGGEST Derby, this is an opportunity of a lifetime. So, this is a good time to start preparing for this encounter even as a Nkana supporter or just as a football lover. Derby NI Derby irrespective of teams’ standing on the table. Therefore, an encouragement goes to every Zambian to plan to attend the Kitwe Derby especially that Lusaka is a central place, hence we can all come from every corner of Zambia and watch the Zambian Super League biggest fixture.

Another reminder is that unfortunately once we get back Pa Chilata (Nkana Stadium), we will kick-start our home journey without you our 12th PLAYER. This will definitely take a toll on our finances as we will have no game revenue to fulfill fixtures, and that is another reason why the DERBY in Lusaka will come in handy to cushion some expenses to a few fixtures that will follow. We know this period will be tough but with your support we shall conquer.

I need not to remind you that our start of the league has been shaky, but Executive Committee and technical bench are up to speed to ensure that the necessary steps needed to reinforce the team are taken. We wish to earnestly thank you the supporters and sympathizers for your support during this very difficult period, especially coupled with challenges of playing away from our Home Ground. Nevertheless, be assured that we will bounce back soon, and get back into the winning Gear. No situation is permanent, and KALAMPA NI KALAMPA!

Lastly but not the least, let me recommend you for the unity exhibited during this difficult phase. The solidarity demonstrated tells it all, and indeed you love your team. As the adage goes: United, We Stand! Divided, We Fall!

Favour Umuyayaya Pali Kalampa! Takaye, Nkana Takaye!

Enjoy Your Day!
