Lusaka's iconic Heroes National Stadium will be the center of Zambian football this coming Sunday, May 12th, 2024, as it hosts a double-header event.

The main event of the day will be the highly anticipated 2024 ABSA Cup final, featuring 2013 champions Red Arrows and Kabwe Warriors. Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Public Relations Manager Sydney Mungala confirmed the venue on Monday morning's 'The Update' program on ZNBC TV1.

The action kicks off earlier in the day with the Zambia U-17 Women's National Team taking on Uganda in the first leg of their 2024 Dominican Republic World Cup qualifiers. This crucial match is scheduled for a 12:30 PM kickoff.

Mungala explained that FAZ secured temporary clearance to host both events at Heroes Stadium, Zambia's largest football venue.

Adding further significance to the occasion, President Hakainde Hichilema, patron of the Football Association of Zambia, is expected to grace the ABSA Cup final with his presence. The final kicks off at 6:00 PM.

Tickets for this exciting double-header go on sale on Tuesday, allowing fans to witness both the ABSA Cup final and the U-17 Women's World Cup qualifier at the iconic Heroes National Stadium.
