Three Copper Queens players, Captain Barbra Banda, forward Racheal Kundananji, and midfielder Grace Chanda, have secured spots on the 30-women shortlist for the 2023 CAF Women’s Player of the Year Award. Additionally, goalkeeper Catherine Musonda has earned a place on the 10-women shortlist for the CAF Goalkeeper of the Year Award. The national team, Copper Queens, is also nominated for the CAF National Team of the Year Award, competing against Burkina Faso, Burundi, Ghana, Malawi, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, and Tanzania.
