Zambia's Copper Queens are ready for the FIFA Women's World Cup after a month-long training camp in Europe. The team signed off their camp with a 3-2 win over second-ranked Germany, and have played a total of 10 friendlies against top-level opponents.
FAZ President Andrew Kamanga said he was "excited" to see the Copper Queens take on the two-time world champions, and believes the team is well-prepared for the tournament.
"We spared no effort in organizing quality friendly matches to help the team prepare," Kamanga said. "We have every belief that the Copper Queens will be a worthy representative of our country and the African continent."
Zambia is in Group C at the World Cup, alongside Japan, Spain, and Costa Rica. Their first match is against Japan on July 22.
